A special stool finished with natural indigo dye.
This is a special edition of DENTO's popular "LISCIO" 3-legged stool, featuring natural indigo dye. Its calm indigo blue, reminiscent of denim, exudes a dignified presence that commands attention in both natural and classic modern settings.
**Indigo dyed using the traditional "natural lye fermentation method"**
The indigo used is derived from "sukumo" (fermented indigo leaves), cultivated in Yamano town, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, where the "Aiya Terroir" workshop is located. This sukumo is sun-dried and fermented for approximately 120 days. By mixing this sukumo with lye, shell broth, and bran, and using the power of microorganisms to create the dye, a deep, natural indigo blue emerges, distinct from chemical dyes.
**The seat and legs are disassembled and dyed one by one with care.**
The "LISCIO stool" can be disassembled into its seat and legs, which are then carefully dyed by hand. The natural indigo and solid wood complement each other beautifully, resulting in a clean finish without any missed spots. Furthermore, after dyeing, a urethane coating is applied to the surface, so there's no need to worry about color transfer to clothing.
**White ash wood that brings out the beautiful wood grain**
Exclusively for the indigo-dyed version, we use "white ash," a wood known for its bright surface and distinct wood grain. The way the indigo and wood grain appear varies with each stool, making the wood's expression significantly different.
**Includes a serial number on the underside of the seat**
Even more than the individual wood grain, the way the dye adheres varies from stool to stool. We consider this variation to be its "individuality" and want to cherish the value of each stool's unique expression, which is why we sell them with serial numbers.
**DENTO's popular classic item, the "LISCIO stool," designed for comfort.**
A 3-legged stool made from solid wood. The legs are assembled using frame-joining techniques, forming a structure where three legs meet. Its minimalist beauty and exquisite curves are crafted by skilled artisans. The strength and secure support for the seat provide a stable and comfortable sitting experience.

**A smooth touch that soothes with every use**
After repeated sanding, the surface is treated with natural oil. From the seat to the underside and legs, the finish is so smooth you'll want to keep touching it. Even while sitting or carrying it, the gentle texture soothes your mind. Regular maintenance enhances its aged beauty and deepens your affection for it.
**Stackable for easy storage**
This lightweight and easy-to-handle stool is also stackable for convenient storage. When not in use, they can be neatly stacked, saving space even in limited areas. We also recommend stacking them with other colors in the same series (Kashishibu and Kashishibu Tetsumezome).
