Free Cup: Sky, Forest and House

Pottery, handmade, hand-painted, one-of-a-kind Diameter 9cm Height 7.8cm This is a colorful cup made by applying white decorative mud to coarse black soil, and then painting motifs of sky, trees, and houses on top of it. The atmosphere is created by the contrasting shades of white mud hand-brushed onto the black clay base. It is covered with a glossy transparent glaze, so although there are pinholes, the surface is smooth and shiny. The aperture is wide and not perfectly round, but slightly distorted. There's plenty of room for tea etc. *Unlike porcelain, pottery (earthenware) has a soft, warm ceramic surface. There may also be pinholes (holes in the glaze) or small chips in the glaze which do not affect the use of the product, but we hope you will consider these to be part of the unique character of earthenware and its charm. This is the unique imperfect beauty, or charm, of earthenware. Since pottery is made from clay, when you hold it in your hands it gives a more rustic impression than it does in pictures. However, that's only at the beginning, and once you get used to it, you'll start to appreciate the good qualities of the real thing, its texture and simplicity.
