It is normal for its luster to diminish and the metal color to deepen over time due to usage, air, and environmental exposure. This is a natural oxidation process. * If your brass oxidizes and turns black, here are a few methods to restore its shine: * Simply use the provided silver polishing cloth to restore luster. The cloth turning black is normal. Do not wash it, as this will diminish its effectiveness. * Use a toothbrush with a small amount of dish soap or toothpaste, gently brush, and then dry. * Use a clean cloth lightly dampened with brass polish to restore the brass's shine. Afterward, rinse with dish soap to remove any residual polish, preventing potential skin irritation during wear. * Preserved floral jewelry is made from real flowers and can last over 5 years. Please avoid humid environments. * When not wearing, store in a sealed bag to prevent oxidation and darkening from air exposure. * Avoid wearing jewelry while bathing, visiting hot springs, or swimming.
