Japanese Miniature Holly - Fragrant Plant - Kō Hii ragi (香りヒイラギ) A miniature variety of the holly species, traditionally believed to ward off evil. Its elegant floral fragrance is so potent that it leaves one wondering how such petite blooms can emit such a rich aroma. The flowering season is from autumn to winter, offering a long period of visual and aromatic enjoyment. Paired with 'Guò Jiāng Lóng' (a non-native plant, see image 7). This perennial herb flowers from March to May in Taiwan. Its stems grow prostrate and form clumps. Small, powdery pink flowers cluster together, forming semi-arc-shaped inflorescences.
