Each color is carefully dyed using "hand printing" by skilled craftsmen at a dyeing factory that has been in operation for over 100 years since the Taisho era.

●Both ends of Japanese tenugui are left uncut. It is hygienic because it dries easily after use and dirt does not accumulate on the edges. The reason for this is said to be that it is easy to tear during emergencies such as when used as a bandage. As you wash it, it will stop fraying.
