Beginning in 2012, she developed the "Sound Portrait" series. Her works use musical notes to construct visualized patterns, presented through video installations. These appear as discordant musical scores. When the timeline in the video touches upon a figure in the image, complex clusters of notes generate noisy and unpleasant sounds. This creates illogical noise from the rules of musical notation, much like public political figures, operating within seemingly regulated systems yet embodying an unreasonable political ecosystem. Peggy KUO also brings these image scores into concert hall performances.
