This small cup is a harmonious blend of a lustrous white glaze and vibrant, colorful glazes that evoke the spirit of spring. The distinct coloration of the white clay results in a charmingly cute finished piece. This vessel is suitable for enjoying hot beverages or for serving food. When pouring green tea into it as a teacup, the colors of the cup beautifully complement the tea's verdant hue, offering a more spring-like visual experience. All stages of production, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisquing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, which is equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. While mass production is not possible, each piece possesses its own unique character, offering a charm that comes from being handmade. To address this, we apply a water-blocking treatment using a food-safe sealant before shipping, so no preliminary soaking (mezome) is required. This treatment takes 2-3 days to complete, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement. If you do not require the water-blocking treatment, please inform us at the time of purchase. - While we strive to ensure product images accurately represent the actual items, colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions.
