After removal, rinse with cold water to wash away surface bloodstains. 2. Apply hand wash liquid, baking soda, or a gentle detergent to the stained area and soak in water for over three hours. The water level should be slightly above the pad. 3. Once bloodstains are removed, simply wash with detergent and air dry (in the bathroom or a well-ventilated indoor area; occasional sun exposure can help sterilize). Ensure the pads are completely dry before storing. 4. Soaking again with baking soda or sodium percarbonate can help remove the yellowing and does not affect usability. • For leak-proof pads, avoid wringing them out. You can use a towel to absorb excess water and then air dry to extend their lifespan.
