Brass may oxidize and change color. However, brass and elastic cords are less suitable for prolonged exposure to moisture, sweat, and cleaning agents. Brass tends to oxidize and darken after prolonged exposure to moisture. Elastic cords soaked in water for extended periods may also affect their lifespan. For clasp bracelets, which are inconvenient to remove daily, our practical tests show that the brass parts typically darken first after prolonged wear. The lifespan of elastic cords varies depending on wearing frequency, degree of stretching, contact with moisture, and individual usage habits.
