→ Soda Firing Soda firing is a high-temperature ceramic firing technique. By spraying soda into the kiln at high temperatures, it vaporizes and chemically reacts with the clay components of the piece, creating a unique and varied glassy glaze effect on the surface. Soda firing can produce a rich variety of glazes, such as orange peel texture, iridescence, smoothness, and even crackling. The size is compatible with our Maze Dripper, and you can choose to purchase them together. The straight cylindrical body not only conveys a sense of neatness and directness but also provides a large, flat surface that fully showcases the characteristics of various glazes, allowing you to appreciate the distinctiveness of each glaze. The flaring rim, a traditional cup style that has existed since ancient times, is designed not only for aesthetics but also for ease of drinking. This slightly outward-curving rim perfectly fits the lips, allowing you to experience the smooth flow of the beverage as you sip. The square handle is also a traditional design. We've modified the traditional square handle with upper flat and lower slanted lines, offering a distinct visual profile. The square ear handle is also comfortable to hold. Our Fang Yun cup, with a moderate capacity of 240ml, is highly versatile for brewing tea or drip coffee bags. A small detail we've added is a crease line on the inner wall at approximately the 200ml mark, providing a simple visual cue for capacity, making it more intuitive to use. In this design, the large, flat vertical surface of the cup wall allowed the artisan to be more creative with the glaze application.
