-Pearl Story-
In Western legends, pearls are associated with the birth of Venus. During the Renaissance, the famous painter Botticelli portrayed the scene in the painting "The Birth of Venus": the goddess stood on a huge shell, slowly descending from the bottom of the water, the water falling on her body which form the granules of pearls, white and flawless, crystal clear. Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but pearls are a timeless classic.
