This long necklace showcases two types of lapis lazuli: cube-shaped stones from Afghanistan, some with noticeable dark inclusions, and small, finely cut 2mm beads. The cube-shaped lapis lazuli, while featuring some dark areas, displays a beautiful ultramarine blue and hints of golden pyrite, adding to its natural character. The 2mm round-cut beads are of excellent grade, and their intricate faceting catches the light, creating a subtle sparkle. To complement the cube-shaped lapis and minimize the visibility of dark inclusions, black silk cord is used. The ultramarine blue of the lapis is beautifully enhanced by the deep black of the cord. Unlike wire-strung necklaces that hold a structured shape, this piece is finished with individual knots between each stone on a silk cord, allowing it to drape softly.
