Each nib is meticulously inspected before shipment. Please ensure you understand how to use a fountain pen before purchasing. (1) A fountain pen is a traditional writing instrument. Its ink delivery system relies on capillary action to draw ink from the nib's slit. For smooth writing, the pen should be held at an angle, with the nib facing upwards. This is fundamentally different from ballpoint pens, which allow writing at any angle as long as the ball can roll. (2) For refilling ink, it is recommended to use the provided converter and only fountain pen-specific ink to prevent clogging or inconsistent ink flow. Cartridge ink may initially be slower to reach the nib and may not flow as smoothly as with a converter, please be aware of this. (3) If ink flow becomes inconsistent during writing, do not apply excessive pressure to the nib, as this can lead to an over-abundance of ink and potential damage to the nib over time. Please check if the ink has dried and solidified due to infrequent use. (4) If the pen will be unused for an extended period, thoroughly clean the nib and converter by repeatedly drawing clean water through them before storing. This prevents ink from drying and clogging the feed, which could lead to poor ink flow upon future use. (5) Wooden fountain pens are aged for over two months before shipment, and the wood itself is stabilized for years before crafting. Each pen is carefully inspected prior to dispatch. Normal seasonal changes will not cause the wood to crack. However, please avoid storing or using the pen in dehumidifiers or extremely dry environments/climates.
