Today, the rows of stainless steel mailboxes hanging at the entrances of Tong Lau buildings remain one of Hong Kong's most iconic sights. Absurd has redesigned the fretwork pattern based on the traditional stainless steel mailbox, and paired it with a handmade, flexible, and detachable phone strap to create an accessory that can be used for daily storage or worn as part of an outfit, giving this object full of Hong Kong memories a new purpose. Absurd's philosophy is that tradition should not be frozen in a showcase to be mourned and remembered. If we cherish it, why not use it again in our daily lives?
