Collection Concept Mizuhiki is often found in gift-giving and festive customs. The repeatedly threaded and knotted lines not only form patterns but also carry the tradition of "negai kake" – entrusting one's thoughts and wishes within the knot. The Ruyi lock, with its matching contours and fastening structure, forms a complete shape. The name "Ruyi" (as one wishes) not only signifies auspiciousness and smoothness but also embodies the meaning of where the heart yearns and desires return. The "Liu Sui" (Age-Lock) collection draws inspiration from the forms of both. The intertwined silver threads extend in a predetermined direction, gradually gathering through overlaps and turns; the silhouettes connect with each other, re-converging at their intersections. These structural relationships found in traditional objects are transformed into the vocabulary of silver adornments worn on the body. The subtle undulations and shifts left by hand-shaping are preserved within the lines. Much like the gesture lingering on the fingertips during knotting, or the traces left by an object after years of use, this maintains the piece in a state between regularity and looseness. "Shou" (守，to guard) is not a protection that isolates from the outside world, but rather the preservation and care of what is cherished.
