After applying a white glaze to the entire bowl, a blue-green glaze is applied to the rim and fired. The melted glaze flows, creating unique patterns. The distinctive patterns and the refreshing grass-green color, born from the serendipity of each firing, will add color to your dining table. With its moderate depth, this small bowl can comfortably hold dishes with a bit of liquid. Ideal for dressed vegetables, simmered dishes, Japanese side dishes, and tofu preparations. All processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done by hand at our studio, which is equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. To minimize scratching your table, the base is carefully sanded before shipping. We explore various glazes and clays, seeking the best combinations to create pottery in a wide range of colors and shapes. This sealing process requires 2-3 days, which is why we set the shipping timeframe to 5 days from order placement.
