Putuo says:
Treat yourself kindly; don't get angry, don't try to please others, and don't punish yourself for the mistakes of others.
Smile gently, walk steadily, let go of gains and losses, cherish what you have, live up to your time, and be true to yourself.

Shuifeisha, Huangshansha, Zijing Sha, and Jingshansha are all high-content cinnabar varieties. Their **main differences lie in color, texture, hardness, and production methods**.
**"Shuifeisha"**
**True red with a slight orange hue. The surface has a warm, frosted luster that will become brighter with wear, forming a patina.**
The production method involves repeatedly grinding fine cinnabar particles into a paste, mixing with water, letting it settle, collecting the upper "turbid liquid," and then allowing it to settle again (Shuifei purification method). The bottom cinnabar mud is air-dried and then pressed using traditional methods. Even on the cross-section, fine, uniform mineral sparkles can be seen.
**"Huangshansha" (Emperor Sand)**
**The color is closer to true red, with a brighter hue and higher hardness.**
The production method involves multiple processes such as crushing, grinding, magnetic separation, water-lifting, and high polishing from natural raw cinnabar ore, followed by traditional pressing. Emperor Sand has almost no surface mineral sparkles, but has them internally. The surface is treated with a **high-polishing** process to achieve a metallic texture, especially under sunlight, enhancing its metallic feel.
**"Zijing Sha"**
**The color is purplish-red, and the hardness is slightly lower than Emperor Sand.**
The production method involves multiple processes such as crushing, grinding, and screening from natural raw cinnabar ore, but **without water purification**. Therefore, the surface is not as delicate and has scattered small mineral sparkles, creating a "starry sky" effect.
**"Jingshansha"**
**The color is purplish-red and translucent.**
Large cinnabar particles are directly chipped from the cinnabar ore. Crystal particles are clearly visible on the surface, and they appear transparent under light, emitting a fluorescent red glow.
**> Spring Plowing, Autumn Harvest**
**In this world, any unfolding, any poetic essence, any beautiful thing, often happens naturally, just like the changing seasons.**
**Learn to slow down, clear your mind, approach life with softness, respect the power of time, and let everything grow naturally, like a tree, focusing and fearlessly growing clear annual rings.**

**> Cinnabar**
In the earliest literature, cinnabar was referred to by a single character, "丹" (dān). "丹" is an ideogrammatic character. Ancient people mined underground, extracting minerals from the pits. Thus, the character "丹" actually represents the character "井" (jǐng, well) with a dot in the middle, signifying that something was extracted from a mine pit. This something is cinnabar.
Because cinnabar is red, mostly a deep red, "朱" (zhū) also means red. Later, "丹砂" (dānshā, red sand) was called cinnabar. "丹" and "朱" describe the color, and "砂" describes the shape, referring to irregular granular minerals.
The color of cinnabar is unfading. Chinese calligraphy and painting are known as "丹青" (dānqīng), where "丹" refers to cinnabar. A crucial component of pigments, the "Eight Treasures Seal Ink," also has cinnabar as its main ingredient.
From a Feng Shui perspective, cinnabar is collected from minerals that gather the essence of the sun and moon, absorbing the positive energy of heaven and earth. Therefore, cinnabar possesses a powerful positive magnetic field. We can observe that jade feels cool in the hand, while cinnabar feels warm.
Since ancient times, cinnabar has been used in Taoist rituals for writing talismans, consecrating objects, warding off evil, and calming disturbances. Cinnabar has always been regarded as an exceptional item for improving luck, warding off evil, dispelling negativity, attracting blessings, and accumulating wealth. It carries auspicious meanings of great fortune, wealth, and health.
The "Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing" (Classic of Materia Medica) lists cinnabar as a superior ingredient, often used in medicinal treatments for calming the nerves, detoxifying, and relieving insomnia and excessive dreaming.
Living in modern times, owning one or two cinnabar artifacts can also help cultivate one's character, refresh the eyes, and soothe the mind.
**> Identification**
**All cinnabar products in our store are high-content cinnabar with a strong sense of weight. You can use the following methods for identification:**
>. Burning cinnabar will turn it black. (Please heat it indirectly. It is generally not recommended to directly burn the finished product, as controlling the time and area is difficult. If it turns black after prolonged heating, it cannot be restored.)
>. Real cinnabar can draw an orange-red line on paper. (To avoid damaging the appearance of the finished product, please choose an inconspicuous area to draw the line, or use the complimentary bead to draw the line.)
**> Care**
1. Avoid corrosion and fire.
2. Do not use chemical bleaching.
3. Do not soak in water for extended periods.
4. Do not scrub, grind, rub, or pick at it.
5. If it becomes dirty, wash gently with clean water and air dry naturally.
