These small badges are among my personal favorites. They hail from Bergerac, a city in the southwest of France. The design features the emblem of this region, naturally accompanied by the essential fleur-de-lis. It's quite a delightful surprise to find so many motifs captured within such a tiny illustration. These symbols were sometimes used on shields and battle attire, aiding in the identification of enemy forces, and later evolved into distinct emblems for cities, commemorations, or churches. Crafted from metal, gilt, and plastic, it possesses a substantial feel. Its aged character lends it a unique charm.
