Wood fired yunomi

This wheel-thrown tea cup was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks the Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration. This pot was made from Japanese clay and then was wood-fired for 4 days. The natural wood ash from the kiln's atmosphere fell on the bare clay, creating a one-off piece that cannot be reproduced. My seal is stamped at the base of this tea bowl. Be the owner of a handmade tea cup made from the beautiful island of Taiwan.
