"Kinran": A brocade fabric named for its ornate patterns with raised relief and the incorporation of gold threads. It is an indispensable element in Japanese culture, seen in the attire of monks, Kabuki actors, theatrical performances, and weddings. Product Material: Family Crest = Kamon. After the Sengoku period in Japan, Kamon became formalized as noble crests symbolizing lineage and origin. There are hundreds of Kamon designs, mostly featuring motifs of plants, animals, or objects. Famous Kamon include Oda Nobunaga's "Gomokunagi," Toyotomi Hideyoshi's "Gosan no Kiri," and Tokugawa Ieyasu's "Mitsuba Aoi."
