"Hua Jian Cha Yu" in Dongshan, Yilan, is the tea garden that produces HOFFE's whole-leaf pyramid tea bags. Unlike the traditional simplicity of other tea gardens, the owner has introduced modern facilities, blending art and cultural creativity into tea-themed guided tours. These innovative ideas come from the third-generation owner, Li Wei, who returned to his hometown to farm. His continuous, pragmatic efforts have earned him the runner-up award in the National Tea Making Competition.
The owner hopes to imbue each batch of tea with a unique floral fragrance. To change the perception of young people's tea drinking habits, he uses innovative tea-making techniques to fuse pomelo blossoms with Dongshan tea, creating a fresh oolong tea soup without bitterness, infused with the scents of pomelo, chrysanthemum, and gardenia.
Walking among the tea rows, listening to the birdsong, watching the crested goshawks soar overhead, and seeing the farmers diligently till the soil to plant new saplings, one deeply feels that in such a pure and natural environment, it's no wonder such high-quality tea varieties can be cultivated.
The tea garden also holds traceability verification, organic certification, and is a Three-Star Tea Processing Plant certified by the Council of Agriculture. The tea produced under these regulated systems is a guarantee of safety for consumption.
Besides repackaging the original tea into convenient HOFFE whole-leaf pyramid tea bags for portability, they also offer "Clear Floral Oolong," "Dance Thick Work Black Tea," and "Agarwood Jade Dew (Light Roast - Fruity Aroma)" for you to choose from!

Dance Thick Work Black Tea:
Yilan's black tea is made from small-leaf varieties and is a fully fermented tea. The catechins and tea polyphenols in the tea leaves undergo fermentation and oxidation, transforming into theaflavins and thearubigins. The tea color is clear, bright crimson, and lustrous, while the tea soup is sweet, delicate, and mellow. It possesses not only a honey-like aroma but also a light, gentle floral scent, subtly different from large-leaf black tea. Besides brewing with tea ware, it can also be boiled without bitterness. Adding a small amount of fresh milk to the brewed black tea creates a rich and delicious milk tea!

- Tea is not just agriculture; it's a craft. Tea farmers are not just farmers; they are tea masters! With a legacy of sixty years across three generations, "Hua Jian Cha Yu" (花間茶語) originates from the pristine upper reaches of the Dongshan River in Dongshan Township, Yilan County. Now managed by the third generation, the farm not only produces and sells its own tea and pomelos but also offers seasonal agricultural tours and workshops, including tea-making experiences.
