During production, transparent protective lacquer is repeatedly applied, followed by multiple rounds of meticulous sanding and polishing. This allows each layer of lacquer to fill the natural pores and microscopic indentations on the wood surface. After dozens of coating and sanding cycles, a smooth, delicate, and substantial high-gloss surface is formed. This complex process not only makes the wood’s natural grain clearer and more vivid, but also fully expresses the depth and three-dimensionality of the wood pattern. The finished pen body exhibits a warm, rich luster reminiscent of fine automotive wood trim, showcasing the unique beauty of natural wood as light dances across its surface. Hand-Ground Calligraphy Nib Notes: 1. We recommend dipping the nib to write first (do not remove the converter installed inside the pen barrel to prevent backflow). Line variation is achieved not by pressure, but by the angle of the pen. A more upright angle reduces the contact area, resulting in thinner lines. A shallower angle or slight pressure increases the contact area for thicker lines. Mastery of line variation depends on your individual skill (please avoid excessive pressure to prevent damaging or misaligning the nib; using a desk mat under your paper is recommended).
