**Rhodonite**
Rhodonite, scientifically known as Rhodonite, derives its name from the Greek word "rhodon" meaning rose, and is also called "Peach Blossom Stone." It is a unique Taiwanese gemstone associated with love.
Rhodonite is a distinctive stone found in Hualien, Taiwan, exhibiting a unique, rose-like pink hue. It is formed from volcanic lava cooled and mineralized, then subjected to tectonic plate pressure. As a relatively young gemstone, not yet subjected to eons of geological evolution, it possesses intense colors and distinct crystal grains.
Rhodonite exhibits a vitreous luster ranging from light pink to rose red. Some crystals possess a jade-like quality, offering a slightly translucent, light-permeating texture. The surface may occasionally display blackish areas due to oxidation, which are thin films of manganese oxides and hydroxides, creating a unique pattern bestowed by nature.
Mining of Taiwanese Rhodonite from Hualien is now prohibited, making its yield extremely rare.
Rhodonite is also known as the "Rescue Stone," believed to infuse the wearer's heart with love, compassion, and forgiveness. It aids in resolving emotional impasses, enhances relationships, and improves love. It also possesses a calming effect, helping to alleviate tension, fear, jealousy, and other negative emotions.
**Pi Xiu**
Legend has it that Pi Xiu is the son of a dragon, with a lion's head, horns, and a beast-like body. It feeds on wealth and evil spirits, and consumes without expelling, thus granting Pi Xiu its functions of **attracting wealth** and **warding off evil**.
In ancient times, Pi Xiu were formidable beasts! In modern times, to align with popular sentiment, Pi Xiu are depicted as plump and prosperous, as if filled with wealth, appearing more healing and endearing.
**Cloisonné (Silk-Chasing Enamel, Fired Enamel)**
Cloisonné, scientifically known as bronze-base silk-chasing enamel. This craft originated in the ancient Near East. As early as the 19th century BC, ancient Egyptian pharaohs created necklaces using this technique, combining it with gemstone inlay. The Eastern Roman Empire later elevated this craft to great heights. It was introduced to China during the Yuan Dynasty and reached its zenith during the Ming Dynasty's Jingtai period, thus earning its name "Jingtai Blue."
Exquisite cloisonné products boast lustrous and vibrant colors, a thick and solid base, neat and uniform silk-chasing, and bright gold plating. They embody the warmth of jade, the brilliance of gemstones, and the delicacy of porcelain. Consequently, the cloisonné craft is intricate and costly.

**◈ On Usage and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess their inherent luster and unique textures (minor dark spots, stone lines, ice cracks, clouds, mineral deficiencies, asymmetry, and other natural details). With regular wear, you may observe subtle color changes in natural gemstones, often appearing more translucent and captivating—this is also the best way to care for them.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral, amber, pearls, and giant clams) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. When dirty, avoid using detergents; rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can also gently brush them with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (such as baby oil) for maintenance.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan; avoid external damage or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
3. Fabric materials (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable and have a long lifespan; avoid high temperatures, external damage, or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
4. For jewelry of any material, when dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate, or use a suitable amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, keep dry as soon as possible.
5. When jewelry is removed, it should be properly packaged and stored away from excess air to slow oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or pressing.
