When creating her jewelry, Joan Rivers often drew inspiration from art history or iconic elements of a particular era. The Man in the Moon motif was once highly popular in Edwardian antique jewelry. However, it's rarely seen today, which is why I was absolutely delighted to discover this exceptionally special "Easter egg" piece. ❤️
A special selection curated by me, each piece is one-of-a-kind and comes with an extender chain. Worn simply on its own, it functions as a minimalist pendant. Attach it to the extender chain on a necklace to create a Y-necklace. Alternatively, link several together to form a bracelet or a necklace. My personal favorite way to wear them is to layer multiple pieces at varying lengths for a beautifully textured and eye-catching look! 😍

〖 The Easter Egg 〗
While Easter is an important Christian festival commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion, the egg as a symbol of new life predates Christianity. Ancient Western cultures believed eggs possessed a dual life, representing both "birth" and "rebirth." Early Mesopotamian Christians would dye eggs red to commemorate the precious blood shed by Jesus Christ. In Catholicism, followers would paint eggs red, have them blessed by a priest, and present them as gifts, marking the earliest origin of giving painted eggs.
