Unlike flawless PU or patent leather, vegetable-tanned leather is natural and eco-friendly, retaining unique markings and imperfections from the cow's life, such as scars, insect bites, growth lines, and veins. These are not defects. Minor indentations or scratches acquired during processing, transport, and crafting are also considered normal, provided the leather surface is not damaged. Additionally, even within the same brand, different batches, storage times, and even different parts of the same hide can absorb dye differently, leading to color discrepancies.
