This is not a defect or dirt. This process enhances the copper's rust resistance, making it less prone to developing black spots over time. Each stamp is also polished and finished before shipping. Neither of these processes affects the inherent quality of the copper or the resulting wax seal impression. ❖ ◤ Usage Instructions 1. Prepare your tools: Hammer, wax sticks, lighter, alcohol lamp, baby oil (apply to the copper stamp before use to prevent wax from sticking). 2. Break the wax stick into pieces and place them into the spoon, filling it about 80% full. Light the alcohol lamp and heat until the wax melts (with slight bubbling). 3. Let the heated liquid wax sit and cool for a few tens of seconds to prevent overheating, which can cause bubbles and an uneven shape. 4. Slowly pour the wax onto the desired area. Vertically press the sealing wax stamp onto the wax. Wait a few seconds before removing to achieve a beautiful wax seal. * Please perform this process in a well-ventilated area at all times. * Be mindful that if the paper is too thin, the wax may adhere to the back. It is recommended to use a glass or metal backing. * Each of our wax sticks can create approximately 6-7 wax seals, depending on the amount used by the individual.
