Towel Handkerchief

These original pu・pu・pu handkerchiefs were woven for us at a factory in Imabari, a renowned textile region! The design is created using three colors of yarn—red, light blue, and white—woven directly into the fabric. Unlike printed designs, this results in a fluffy, textured towel fabric. The Apples are woven with a technique that makes the Apple portions slightly raised, arranged in various cut Apple shapes. You might even spot a few bunny Apples cleverly hidden among them! The Strawberries, with their distinctive triangular shape, are enhanced with polka dots for an even juicier design. Can you find the one Strawberry with a playfully jumping stem? The letters "pu・pu・pu" are woven into the border for a pop of fun. The color combination of red and light blue is refreshingly cute! We always envisioned making them through weaving rather than printing. We were fortunate to connect with a towel factory in Imabari, and finally, we were able to bring them to life! The pu・pu・pu illustrations look wonderfully soft and plush, different from our usual printed fabrics, and utterly charming. [Care Instructions] ⚫︎ For the first few washes, please avoid using fabric softener, as it can cause the pile yarn to shed and reduce absorbency. ⚫︎ Do not use a dryer, as it may cause shrinkage. ⚫︎ If any pile yarn becomes loose, do not pull it. Instead, carefully snip the protruding thread.
