I have been making roses since I started making wool felt, but I have never made this kind of classical rose. It is a variety suitable for growing in temperate zones. There are many in Europe and America, but it is not common in Taiwan.
It is more complicated and time-consuming to make it out of wool felt than ordinary roses. Ordinary roses only need five to six petals, while classical roses need twelve petals. You have to fold it repeatedly to adjust the folds of the petals. The degree of curvature is like that, so it takes two to three times longer to make a classical rose than an ordinary rose.
But the results are worthwhile, very elegant and beautiful!
