Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular material for jewelry due to its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize over time. Exposure to rain, sweat, and air can deepen its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are some tips to maintain its luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable bag when not being worn. If the luster starts to fade, a few simple methods can restore your item's original radiance. Please note that scratches cannot be restored to a shiny finish, though the color can be revived (the matte, antique bronze look is also very beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush with a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and gently scrub as if brushing your teeth to restore shine. Ensure the item is dried thoroughly afterward. ♦ Wipe with a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Dilute lemon juice and soak the brass item for about 5 minutes for a rapid shine restoration (not suitable for natural beads like pearls that are sensitive to acid).
