Made with a soft-touch bleached cotton fabric. The fabric is tied and dyed after being bunched near the center of the tenugui. This piece is dyed using a paste-resist dyeing technique with two pattern blocks and color paste. As the paste is applied individually to each piece, every tenugui is virtually one-of-a-kind. Created as part of a series of tenugui with a Sarasa pattern aesthetic. This work was designed with the theme of wheat and bread, inspired by Northern European imagery from the Medieval to Renaissance periods. The scene depicts people working in a wheat field enjoying a break. They resemble diligent little folk. On the right, a baker and his wife have brought freshly baked bread for everyone. In the center, a traveling string musician seems to be sharing exotic music. On the left, someone is inviting a wheat harvester to join them, saying, "Come on! Let's take a break!"
