In 1991, Donald Seitz created a series of art history illustrations, turning several heavyweight artists in art history or their masterpieces into smiling stick figures, helping to spread art history among the general public.
Artists from the MoMA collection represented on these art history coasters include Mark Rothko, Claude Monet, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and Jackson Pollock. Made from laminated MDF with a polypropylene coating and velvet backing, these art coasters feature a non-slip bottom and an easily wipe-clean front.
