He specialized in book and easel graphics, as well as realistic-style painting. In 1989, he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Throughout his career, Vasyl Kush collaborated with Kiev-based publishers such as "Sovetskaya Shkola", "Raduga", "Iskusstvo", "Forum", "Magistr-S", and "Perun", illustrating books for them. From 1971 to 1986, he held the position of editor-in-chief. In addition, he worked at "Prosveshchenie" publishing house in 1987 and contributed to the magazine "Barvinok". In his rich creative history, Vasyl Kush actively participated in exhibitions from 1971 onward and held solo exhibitions in various cities, including Nuremberg (Germany, 1992), Kyiv (1993, 1997, 2003, 2005), Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky (2000), and Boryspil (2008).
