This counter is recommended for prayer beads of 10mm or larger. **How to Use the Counter** Typically, one recitation is associated with one bead. A full circle should complete 108 recitations. At this point, move one bead on the hundreds counter to signify 108 repetitions. When 10 full circles of prayer beads are completed, and all ten beads on the hundreds counter have been moved, move one bead on the thousands counter to represent 1000 repetitions. Reset the hundreds counter beads to zero, leaving only the bead on the thousands counter to signify 1000 recitations. Continue this process. Once all ten beads on the thousands counter have been moved, it signifies 10,000 recitations. At this point, move the counter one bead position starting from the guru bead side, to signify 10,000 recitations. Reset the thousands counter beads to zero, and leave the counter in its current position to signify 10,000 recitations. Then, begin counting again from the start. Once 10,000 recitations are reached, move the counter to the next position. **Placement of the Counter** It is recommended to place the counter after the 7th, 11th, 21st, or 27th bead, choosing the position that is most aesthetically pleasing.
