Avoid rubbing back and forth vigorously with a silver polishing cloth. **14K Gold Filled (also known as 14K GF)** This refers to US-made 1/20 14K Gold Filled, abbreviated as 14K GF. The 1/20 indicates that 14K gold constitutes 5% of the total weight. GF products are manufactured under high temperature and pressure, enveloping the entire base metal alloy surface. The thickness and adhesion are incomparable to electroplating. The outer layer of K gold is hard, highly resistant to wear, and will not peel off. However, depending on individual wear habits and other factors, the outer 14K gold layer may wear down or change color. Similar to sterling silver jewelry, 14K GF can also oxidize and discolor. It is recommended to remove jewelry when swimming, exercising, or bathing in hot springs. After wearing, it is recommended to lather some body wash in your hands, gently rub the chain in your palm, rinse thoroughly with clean water, dry, and allow to air dry completely before storing in a zip-lock bag.
