Discoloration such as blackening or yellowing on 925 sterling silver is a normal "oxidation phenomenon," indicating genuine pure silver.
There's no need to worry, as this issue is completely resolvable!
Simply use a polishing cloth to restore its shine. When not worn, store in a sealed bag to slow down oxidation.
Natural pearls do not require polishing!
