This is an SDGs-conscious jewelry piece featuring Kintsugi on upcycled Arita ware.
Broken or chipped ceramics that would otherwise be discarded are reused and transformed into accessories with the Kintsugi technique.
The concept behind this work is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel closer to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, giving new life and possibilities to these materials.
We've paired elegant ceramic fragments, offering glimpses of floral and leaf patterns, with delicate gold swing charms.
They sway gracefully with every movement, exuding refined elegance.
The sides of the ceramic pieces are adorned with Kintsugi, so the gold beautifully catches the light even from the side, adding a touch of sophistication.
These pieces are perfect as a statement accent for both casual and elegant outfits.
Length: Ceramic fragment: 15 x 18mm Total length: 83mm
Weight: The ceramic fragment is light and comfortable to wear ◎
As each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind accessory, it makes an ideal gift.
Please consider it for a thoughtful present to someone special.
*While we send the item pictured, if it has been sold on another site, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in the color, pattern, and size of the ceramic fragments and natural stones compared to the photo.
*Kintsugi is a unique Japanese traditional repair technique that mends broken or chipped ceramics using lacquer and gold powder. This work uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses pure urushi (tree sap), this process utilizes adhesive for the primary bond.
The Kintsugi areas are created using urushi-based paint (a manufacturer-produced coating, not raw urushi) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
