Hand-kneaded ceramic soap dish｜Heyu Soap Simple lines × handmade warmth × just the right feeling of use ❍ About this work From sinks to work tables, we want to make a soap dish that is really easy to use and good looking. We slowly experimented with it, tweaked it bit by bit, and with a simple design and a little ingenuity, we came up with a design that perfectly holds a bar of soap while allowing water to flow through. It's not fancy, but it's very practical. We chose clay, a kind of mud with coarse particles. The things fired from it are not as delicate as porcelain, but it has a natural simplicity and straightforwardness that you can touch and see with your eyes. There may be some variegated colors, sand holes or small glaze cracks on the surface. These are not flaws, but naturally generated traces. ❍ Material Clay and glaze ❍ Dimensions The soap dish is specially designed for handmade soaps, measuring approximately 8 × 6 × 2.5 cm. It is the perfect size to keep the soaps securely in place and easy to use. (Each piece is handmade, so there may be slight errors in size) ❍ Production Instructions Each piece is fired twice at high temperature to make it strong and durable Occasional sand holes, natural glaze changes or fine cracks on the surface are natural characteristics of the clay material and the firing process. Each handmade vessel has a slightly different curvature and glaze distribution, which is its personality. ❍ Packaging and Environmental Protection All our shipments are packaged in recycled bubble wrap and cartons. Maybe it's not exquisite enough, but for us, making every resource reusable is the better choice.
