**◈ A Word from the Designer**
Carefully selected **Imperial Blue Lapis Lazuli** (dignified and upright), accented with **Pearls** (spiritual and noble).
The Lapis Lazuli is of the finest Imperial Blue quality, intricately carved into a **Rose (symbolizing blooming wealth)** pendant. The gemstone's deep, vibrant blue is complemented by delicate distributions of gold (pyrite) and white (calcite) mineral inclusions, presenting a top-tier, exquisite piece.
Echoing the upright blue and white tones of the Lapis Lazuli, a cloisonné butterfly serves as a decorative band (positioned at the upper-middle part of the jewelry), from which dangles a pure white **pearl tassel**. The overall effect is one of **graceful opulence and classical splendor**, a masterpiece of unique craftsmanship, a beauty rarely seen in a millennium.
**This is a truly unique piece, awaiting its destined owner of grace and splendor^^**
**Lapis Lazuli**
Ancient texts record the use of Lapis Lazuli in China as early as five thousand years ago, and even earlier in Egypt, around eight thousand years ago. Chinese emperors of past dynasties used Lapis Lazuli for celestial rituals, believing its sky-like blue color connected them to the heavens. Ancient Egyptians, too, believed it facilitated communication with the spirit world.
The world's finest Lapis Lazuli originates from Afghanistan. Afghan Lapis Lazuli is renowned for its bold, commanding color, earning it the moniker "Imperial Blue."
When selecting Lapis Lazuli, look for pieces with a pleasing natural distribution of blue, white (calcite), and gold (pyrite) minerals. As Lapis Lazuli forms near the earth's surface, it has many pores and should not be exposed to water for extended periods. It is recommended to occasionally nourish it with mineral oil.
**Cloisonné (Filigree Enamel, Blue Firing)**
Cloisonné, scientifically known as copper-chased enamel, originated in the ancient Near East. As early as the 19th century BC, ancient Egyptian pharaohs crafted necklaces using this technique, often combining it with gemstone inlay. The Eastern Roman Empire later elevated this craft to extraordinary heights. It was introduced to China during the Yuan Dynasty and reached its zenith during the Jingtai reign of the Ming Dynasty, thus acquiring its name "Jingtai Lan" (Jingtai Blue).
Exquisite cloisonné pieces are characterized by their lustrous and vibrant colors, a substantial and solid base, neat and uniform filigree, and brilliant gilding. They embody the warmth of jade, the radiance of gemstones, and the delicacy of porcelain. Consequently, the cloisonné process is intricate and costly.
**Pearls**
The English word "Pearl" derives from the Latin "Pemnla," meaning "child of the sea." Throughout history, in both Eastern and Western cultures, pearls have symbolized health, purity, and nobility, and are the birthstone for June.
Pearls, amber, and coral are the three great organic gemstones of the world, with pearls often hailed as the king of organic gemstones.
Pearls are formed within oysters and mussels. Their primary chemical component is calcium carbonate, and they have low hardness. They are soluble in acids and alkalis, so pearls should not be in prolonged contact with coarse fabrics or hard objects. Avoid contact with cosmetics, perfumes, dyes, or any chemicals. They should also not be oiled for preservation.
Pearls possess a rich and varied beauty, with delicate and soft hues ranging from warm tones of yellow, gold, orange, pink, and creamy white, to cooler shades of green, blue, indigo, purple, and gray.
Pearls can form naturally or be cultured. Currently, 99% of pearls on the market are cultured.
Natural pearls are primarily found in the Persian Gulf region and India, as well as freshwater pearls from Tennessee, USA.
Cultured pearls benefit from Japan's mature technology, producing the highest quality. Other significant sources include China, Tahiti, Australia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Myanmar in the South Seas.
Cultured pearls can be categorized into four types:
1. Round Nucleated Pearls – Tend to be spherical. (Perfectly spherical natural pearls are extremely rare.)
2. Keshi Pearls – Formed when a bead nucleus is placed on the mantle tissue of a mussel, causing the pearl to grow around it.
3. Mabe Pearls – Pronounced "Ma-beh" from Japanese, these are half-spheres, also known as button pearls or half-round pearls.
4. Non-Nucleated Cultured Pearls – Freshwater cultured pearls, often used for pearl powder due to the absence of a nucleus.

**◈ On Use and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess inherent luster and unique textures (such as tiny black spots, mineral lines, ice cracks, cloudiness, mineral deficiencies, asymmetry, and other natural details). With frequent wear, you may observe subtle color changes in natural gemstones, often becoming more translucent and captivating, which is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (like coral and amber) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. When soiled, avoid cleaning with detergents. Simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can also gently brush with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (such as baby oil) for nourishment.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan, provided it is protected from external force, strong acids, or alkalis that could cause fading.
3. Fabric components (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable, with a long lifespan, provided they are kept away from high temperatures, external force, or strong acids and alkalis that could cause fading.
4. For any jewelry material, when soiled, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with clean water as appropriate, or use a suitable amount of neutral detergent for appropriate materials. After washing, ensure the item is dried promptly.
5. When jewelry is removed, it should be carefully packaged and stored to minimize air exposure, slowing down oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or pressing.
