This process results in a fabric that is "light," "soft," and develops a relaxed, natural texture that can be enjoyed as "aging" rather than "deterioration." We cherish this characteristic. As the fabric is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, occasional "weaving flaws" may appear, which can look like small "frays." While these are unavoidable with the use of vintage machinery, we make every effort to minimize them through thorough inspections at the factory and careful placement during cutting. If found, they are used in less conspicuous areas. However, due to the nature of the machinery, it is impossible to eliminate them entirely.
