All stages of creation, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand using a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel in my home studio. To ensure your table surfaces are protected, the base of each cup is carefully sanded. I am constantly exploring new combinations of clays and glazes, creating a diverse range of pottery in various shapes and colors. To prevent this, all our pottery undergoes a waterproofing treatment with a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for initial curing (mejime). This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our 5-day shipping window.
