Bracelet with Jade-Colored Roman Glass, Antique Bohemian Beads, Granulated Brass, Silvery Glass Beads, Coral, and Carnelian

This bracelet is crafted by linking jade-colored Roman glass, antique Bohemian beads, granulated brass, silvery glass beads, coral, and carnelian. The slender, jade-colored beads are Roman glass, dating back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE – 395 CE). The tubular pieces were originally part of bangles, which accounts for their slight curvature. As they are antique, there may be minor chips, but they do not affect everyday wear. The clear, oval beads are early 20th-century Bohemian glass. They have some age-related scratches, but these add to their incredibly unique character! (Bohemian bead size: 0.85cm width, 0.65cm height) The granulated beads are brass beads crafted by the Benin people of Africa, featuring incredibly intricate detailing. A touch of verdigris lends them a cool, aged aesthetic! The white and green beads are Roman glass beads, originally crafted as adornments during the Roman era for items like necklaces, making them exceptionally precious. Roman glass is glass from the Roman Empire (27 BCE – 395 CE). You can observe a beautiful silvery iridescence. This iridescence occurs when glass is buried underground for extended periods, causing a chemical reaction between the glass and soil components, resulting in this shimmering effect. Not all glass buried for long durations develops this sheen; it only appears when a specific confluence of conditions is met. The flat, salmon-orange beads are coral sourced from Tibet. Small, chip-like pieces of coral have also been incorporated (these are not Tibetan coral). Carnelian beads with faceting have been arranged to create a gradient effect. The golden beads interspersed are Karen silver with 18k gold plating. Small disc-shaped turquoise pieces have been added to complement the design. The clasp is an S-hook, allowing for versatile wear on either end.
