What is paracord made of?

It is a nylon rope that meets the US military Mil-C-5040H specification and was used extensively during World War II. We use TYPE III 550 parachute rope, which is composed of 32-36 nylon strands as sheath and 7-9 inner cores woven together. The sheath can bear 200 pounds, and each inner core can bear 50 pounds, making the parachute rope have a tensile force of 500 pounds (approximately 249 kilograms).
