When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, making __regular purification of crystals very important__. It is recommended to develop a habit of purifying crystals regularly, for example, on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many ways to purify crystals; detailed explanations can be found in books and online. Perhaps the most commonly mentioned purification method is soaking in saltwater. However, some crystals and metals are more delicate and can be damaged by salt or water, so Joyce personally does not recommend soaking in saltwater. If you have white/amethyst chips, a geode, or a cluster, you can place the crystal directly inside/on top of them when not wearing it. Of course, the chips, geodes, and clusters used for purification also need to be purified regularly, such as by placing them in sunlight for sun purification or under moonlight for moon purification. Joyce finds __smudge purification__ to be the most effective! You can light a palo santo stick, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense, and __purify with the smoke__.
