All jewelry, regardless of material, is susceptible to moisture. Exposure to rain, sweat, perfume, bathing, hot springs, and chemical products can severely damage jewelry and cause oxidation, so it should be avoided. 2. It is recommended to wear jewelry frequently, as the body's natural oils can impart a beautiful, warm luster to the piece. 3. Jewelry can tarnish over time due to reaction with airborne sulfur dioxide, appearing yellow or black. Gently brush the surface with a damp, soft-bristled toothbrush and toothpaste or polishing powder, or use a silver polishing cloth to restore its original metallic shine. 4. If the jewelry has undergone a special oxidation treatment, avoid excessive polishing, as this may diminish the intended design effect. 5. If you are concerned about potential skin allergies from the chemical agents in silver or copper polishing cloths, rinse the jewelry with water and dry it thoroughly before wearing. 6. Natural stones, crystals, and pearls can be cleaned with water and then wiped dry with a soft cloth. 7. When not wearing, clean and store jewelry in a sealed bag to slow down the oxidation process. 8. Avoid placing different pieces of jewelry together in the same box, as differences in hardness can cause them to rub against each other and sustain damage. 9. Never use any other tools to clean your jewelry, as this can leave scratches on the surface. If a brush is necessary, use a clean, very soft brush for cleaning your jewelry.
