These earrings feature square old Afghan silver pieces connected with tiny bells. The square component, with its beautifully textured, raised pattern, is a silver piece from Afghanistan, dating from the mid-20th century or even earlier. The subtle scratches, characteristic of antique silver, lend it a wonderful, aged patina. (Size of old Afghan silver piece: 1.7cm in length, 1.2cm in diameter - including the loop.)
