Broken or chipped pottery, no longer in use, is upcycled and repaired with kintsugi to create new accessories. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic fragments, allowing the gold to shine through from the side and adding an elegant touch. This work uses a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, this process uses adhesive for the initial bonding.
