Celine vintage silk scarf-(⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎), 100% authentic pre-owned, circa 1990s Italian product! If you have any questions, please message before placing an order. All sales are final. Scarves have always been a staple product for major womenswear brands, from past to present. While perhaps less commonly used by women in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, women in Europe and America have consistently incorporated scarves into their style. The price point for scarves has also remained consistently high. Pure silk has a soft, smooth texture with a beautiful sheen. There are subtle differences between vintage and modern scarves. Vintage scarves tend to be lighter in weight, originally designed for women to wear as headscarves. They are also perfectly suited for modern styling, like being rolled and tied in the popular Korean hair trend. Modern scarves are often thicker, designed for warmth and sun protection. The versatility of scarves is truly remarkable, extending far beyond just being worn around the neck. Vintage scarves, with their lighter weight, are even more practical. The fabric is exceptionally soft and breathable, making it ideal for spring, summer, and autumn in the Asia-Pacific region. It can be used as a light shawl for sun protection without feeling stuffy in the summer heat. In air-conditioned malls or during early autumn, it offers a gentle layer against the breeze (though it might not be warm enough for those who feel the cold easily...). The extremely thin nature of vintage scarves means they take up very little space when folded and placed in a handbag (unless it's a tiny bag... haha XD). If you want to save even more space, you can roll it up and tie it onto the strap of your bag, or simply knot it near the strap as a stylish accent. It can also be used to adjust the length of an overly long strap (I have details on how to tie it). Personally, I most often use them for home decor. For a long time, I've made it a habit to use large scarves, handkerchiefs, or silk scarves to cover idle items or decorative pieces at home, primarily for dust protection. My home gets very dusty, and anything left undisturbed for two days will develop a thin layer of dust. When the covering cloth gets dusty, I simply take the whole piece to the wash, which is very convenient. Beautifully patterned scarves can also be directly framed as decorative wall art, much like how many vintage clothing stores display them~ ⚐⚑˒˒ This is an Italian-made, 100% pure silk shawl/scarf. Japanese records indicate it was a pre-owned item that came with its original department store box from when it was purchased. The entire piece is free from snags, loose threads, or discoloration, and there are no signs of pilling. The pattern is clean, clear, and delicate. The original tag area is intact. It features a very prominent golden Arc de Triomphe chain pattern, in a milky tea mocha brown color, evoking a very autumnal feel – it looks absolutely stunning with a trench coat! Highly recommended! The texture and color transitions in person are truly exquisite! The thickness is moderate, not so thin that it's see-through, but not overly thick either. It's suitable for spring and autumn, and for use in air-conditioned environments. It won't feel stuffy. Pure silk has a natural luster that is beautiful in sunlight. Its large size makes it very practical as a shawl or neck scarf, and besides tying it on bags, it has many other uses! With proper care and use, it can truly last a lifetime. I had a similar one before that was quickly purchased by a regular customer about a year ago... I was fortunate to acquire this one again! ❍ The photos are personally taken by the owner under natural sunlight. Lighting conditions may vary depending on the time of day, and color variations are possible. Due to the unique nature of pre-owned orders, all sales are final, with no returns or exchanges. Please examine the photos carefully before placing your order. ⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄⋄⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄ | Grade | SA | Size | 85x85cm | Color | / | Material | Silk | Origin | Italy ⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄⋄⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄ The main reason I love pre-owned bags is that the materials from older eras are far superior to those in modern new items. In the past, most pre-owned items were made with meticulous craftsmanship ✦ by hand. There was no mass production by machines then, only the warmth of human touch. The skill of artisans is undoubtedly much more refined than that of machines, just as everyone appreciates products handmade by skilled craftspeople! However, today, the vast majority of processes are done by machines with minimal human assembly, losing the delicacy of the past. I believe the simplest and most direct way to see this is by comparing the detailed patterns of recent brand "revivals" of old monograms with genuine vintage monograms. The level of detail in the monogram patterns alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you must seek out pre-owned items! Truly! In terms of style, older eras featured more ✦ simple, timeless, and enduring designs. Many new designs today are actually reproductions of older styles. However, new items are priced higher than vintage ones. New designs are usually based on older styles, with added details or modifications. The final product often ends up being more complex (or strange...) than its predecessors. I believe as we grow older, we all understand one thing: the simpler, the more enduring! As we age, even our clothing tends to return to basic styles because the more fundamental, the more versatile. The quality of raw materials in vintage items is also superior to new ones. Anyone who understands ✦ leather can see it; the materials in new items are mostly inferior to vintage ones. The primary reason is that the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high today, and their availability is less than in the past, as the Earth's resources are dwindling! Furthermore, back then, brands didn't have the "ubiquitous" presence of numerous branches like they do now... The clientele mostly had a certain income and high expectations for the finished products. There was no "fast fashion culture" back then; a bag was expected to be used for many years. The difference between new and old eras is clearly visible in the ✦ hardware. Many new items' hardware oxidizes and discolors after just one or two years of use, but vintage items usually do not. Besides the high-quality materials and meticulous techniques, the hardware in earlier eras was plated with real K gold! It's worth mentioning that Chanel Vintage is expensive for a reason; many of its clasps and chains contain real gold, certified by gold merchants! Therefore, even vintage bags from as early as the 60s and 70s, if well-preserved, can still have gleaming hardware today. For new items available now, based on my knowledge of brands, none of the hardware contains K gold, which is why it oxidizes so easily. Many people say buying vintage bags is a unique form of investment, as they rarely depreciate and often appreciate in value. This is because well-preserved pre-owned bags are becoming increasingly rare in the market; each one that disappears is gone forever. Remember, each of them is a discontinued item. The number that exists in the world is finite, so they will only become fewer, more expensive, and harder to find. Moreover, many brands increase their prices periodically, and each increase drives up the prices in the pre-owned market. If a brand releases a "reissue," the vintage reference or similar styles will see a sharp price increase! Add to this the fact that in recent years, Japanese and Korean celebrities have favored vintage items. Once a particular item is worn by a celebrity, its price can skyrocket instantly, truly skyrocketing. During that period, many people will frantically search for that item or a similar alternative, causing the prices of those few items to multiply... Therefore, vintage is truly a case of "buy early, enjoy longer; buy late, pay more" (this is not an advertising slogan... it's a truth in the vintage world...). This is my personal experience; I regret not getting into many series earlier... I can't find them anymore, and even if I do, they come with an exorbitant price tag... But the problem is, even knowing it's an exorbitant price, you're compelled to buy it because waiting will only mean a higher price (unless the condition is poor). I frequently get asked about bag maintenance (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ). I will include detailed care instructions on a small note inside the bag, so don't worry. My personal habit is to give them a polish when I organize my closet at the change of seasons (so each seasonal change is a major undertaking... |||). In reality, pre-owned bags aren't that troublesome. When you're new to it, you just need to get used to regular maintenance and cherishing your bag. Once it becomes a habit, it's not difficult. The materials of pre-owned bags are inherently excellent. As long as you don't use them roughly and preserve them properly, they can easily last another ten years and be passed down to your daughter! Every pre-owned bag is one I love and have collected, so I hope you will love it too and be able to preserve it for years to come ☪︎ *.。 ☾︎.*·̩͙ If you are interested in purchasing, please feel free to message me for details. Inquiries are welcome; pre-owned items are sought by discerning customers who appreciate their unique value ⸜❤︎⸝. ⚜️ All copyrights and trademarks belong to the brand of this product. ⚜️
