Tea Bowl

This tea bowl was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. While the clay was still wet I distorted the shape to add some more interest and also to aid drinking comfort. The foot ring was hand carved, again adding to the handmade feel of the bowl. I glazed this tea bowl with a matt black. I also dusted wood ash over sections, which resulted in the glaze becoming slightly shiner. Be the owner of a handmade tea bowl, made on the beautiful island of Taiwan.
