Taiwan is home to as many as 27 species of the Zephyrus hairstreak butterfly family, remnants from the Ice Age that inhabit only the misty forests of mid-to-high altitudes. When their wings are closed, they reveal simple shades of gray and brown, but when spread, the wing surfaces shimmer with brilliant metallic hues of green, blue, and pearl, earning them the name "living jewels of the misty forests." The *Zephyrus westwoodi* butterfly, also known as the Westwood's green hairstreak, exhibits distinct differences between males and females. This piece is inspired by the male butterfly, with its wings dusted with silver powder that glimmers with movement. Elements are taken from original hand-painted watercolor art, creating handcrafted pieces. Dimensions are approximately 1.8*1.8cm.
