White hair moss requires slightly more light than typical mosses, about 2 to 2.5 hours. It thrives in semi-shaded locations on a balcony. Water thoroughly when the top two-thirds of the soil surface is dry. *Dicliptera chinensis* var. *longifolia* belongs to the Acanthaceae family, genus *Dicliptera*. This non-native mountain grass grows steadily and is an excellent bloomer. It produces 5-petaled white flowers with purplish-red spots on the lower lip. The double flower stalks will bloom successively, extending upwards for 1 to 2 months, resulting in a long flowering period. White seashell gravel represents a water feature, creating the aesthetic of a wetland hillside, perfect for a cool retreat.
